Sculptra Aesthetic
$800 per vial typically 3-4 sessions are needed spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results are gradual and can be expected around 3 months after last session.
PRE- OP Instructions
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Antihistamines, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising
- Arrive with a clean face. Please do not wear makeup!
- Sculptra is not for patients who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, with presence of infection at or near the injection sites, or under the age of 18
POST- OP Instructions
- 5-5-5 rule is so important! Massage the area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days
- After swelling is gone, results may not be visible after the first session. Results may not be visible until session 2-3
- Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Antihistamines, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising
- No makeup for the first 72 hours
- Area may be tender, bruised, and swollen for up to 2 weeks.
- Avoid any strenuous activity for 72 hours
What to expect after treatment
- 4 week post op is always recommended and scheduled before dismissal after first session
- Follow up treatments should be scheduled about every 4-6 weeks
- Visible results may not be seen until 2-3 sessions have been completed
- Results can last up to 2 years. We always re-evaluate around 18 months
