xoxo- The Tooth Booth
From eastern KY, Dr. Hughes was raised on bluegrass & classic rock riding horses & petting puppies. She moved to the area after meeting & marrying her husband, Jason, in 2004. The couple met showing horses back then, & two things have remained the same for Dr. Hughes all these years later- Jason & horses. The couple shares a son (Otis), a big barn, & a pink farmhouse.
In 2011, she graduated from the UofL School of Dentistry. She founded The Tooth Booth in 2012. Dr. Hughes continued her education with the completion of a mini-residency in Implantology in 2017 at UK. Additionally, Dr. Hughes has completed countless hours of education in facial aesthetics that began in 2013 by training with some of the best injectors from all over the world. Since 2017, she has been training other medical professionals in facial aesthetics nationally & was named Course Karma's 2021 & 2023 Instructor of the Year for injectables (Botox + fillers) by her peers.
Ramona brings decades of management, insurance, & accounting experience to The Tooth Booth, along and a lifetime of managing Dr. Hughes (as her mom). She & husband, Kevin, reside in Columbia. She enjoys riding & showing her champion horses, training her dog (Lula) in new tricks, spending time with family, cook outs, & riding on the back of Kevin's motorcycle. She's probably watched every episode of Snapped ever made. True crime is a real point of interest at The Tooth Booth.
Kara grew up in Greensburg, KY. She graduated from Western Kentucky University's dental hygiene program in 2017. She has called The Tooth Booth home since 2019. Kara is away currently at LMU dental school, but we are looking forward to her return as Dr. Shive in 2027!
Haley, our hygienist, was born & raised in Monticello, but moved to Russell Springs after several years with us here at The Tooth Booth. She enjoys time on the lake with her husband & son. She is the proud dog mom to a golden retriever, Winnie. Haley thrives at Christmas time, will not pass up a trip to Dollywood & savours every Diet Pepsi she's handed. She enjoys reading, porch-sitting, watching her son play ball, & being the resident "funny girl."
Samantha is a familiar face at The Tooth Booth as an essential team member since 2013. She received her expanded duties dental assistant certification from the University of Louisville, and trained alongside Dr. Hughes during her implant residency at the University of Kentucky. Samantha loves being a part of every patient experience, but especially complete smile makeovers & oral surgeries.
"There is never a dull moment at The Tooth Booth"
Outside of work, Samantha enjoys indoor gardening, coffee gadgets, & spending time with her husband, Jordan, and their dog, Harlequin.
Jessica has been an expanded duties dental assistant since 2019 as a graduate of The Medical Institute of Kentucky. She was immediately added to The Tooth Booth team following her externship with us. Jessica loves assisting with crown & veneer appointments and all of the creativity that goes with it. She loves being part of the life-changing before and afters, and prides herself on creating a calm patient experience. You will find her in treatment rooms 1 & 2 listening to 80s & 90s rock during office hours. Outside the office, Jess enjoys spending time with her family and their 4 dogs.

Madison has been in the aesthetic industry for many years, graduating from Empire Cosmetology School in 2013. Madison is passionate about skincare & devoted to continuing education & training with the latest advancements in her field. She loves to help patients achieve their skincare goals to help them feel more comfortable & confident.
"I'm here to help patients figure out the best approach to their specific needs by teaching the use of medical grade skincare, while helping to direct them alongside Dr. Hughes toward the in-office skin services that will best achieve their aesthetic goals. I'm happy to help patients realize that Dr. Hughes can't do her best with injectables, if they aren't also doing their best with their skin."
In her spare time you can find her with her dog, Sadie, or listening to a true crime podcast!
Alianne is the newest face to join the Tooth Booth team but isn't new to the world of injectables. Trained in aesthetics since 2019, Alianne has been treating patients for injectable services in the Lake Cumberland area for years and brings a fresh eye to our aesthetic team. While she only works with us part time, her appointment spots are limited, but highly sought after! When not at The Tooth Booth, you can find Alianne having fun with her new hubby!
Gabriele was born in Amberg, Germany. She came to the United States in 1984. Gabriele worked in a hospitality setting as hotel manager for 10 years, then as an electronic monitoring supervisor for 15 years. She has since found a new home in the front office at The Tooth Booth, and our team AND patients are so happy to have her.

Jason stays busy completing our office honey-do lists that's ran by 10+ women which honestly doesn't leave time for much else. In addition to being the office-wide handyman, he chauffeurs our team transport bus to conferences, continuing education, & team field trips. Jason is responsible for transport of our Training Academy guests as well. In his spare time, Jason trains & cares for the family's horses, manages the pink farmhouse, and is responsible for generally handling Dr. Hughes--perhaps his biggest job!
Annie, an Aussiedoodle, is the "doGtor" here. She completed rigorous training to be a comfort dog in a medical setting! She's no joke in the snuggle department, but often likes to play hard-to-get. You'll get her best response by also playing hard-to-get: don't speak to her overly excited (she's working remember), avoid eye-contact (it can sometimes intimidate her), and just wait for her to approach you as she wanders the office greeting and checking on patients to aide us in a stress-free environment for all. When Annie isn't on the clock, she lives with Dr. Hughes, Jason, Otis, & her fur sister, Flossy Jane, where she sleeps with her human brother, Otis, every night. She enjoys naps, car rides, pool days, golf cart rides at whatever horseshow her family is attending & adding to her extensive bandanna collection. Don't be surprised if she slyly tries checking your pockets or purse for snacks while you're in.
A yard sale puppy added to Dr. Hughes' family on a secret whim by Dr. Hughes (who hid the news from Jason for several days) after our hygienist, Haley found her roadside. Flossy was presented as a Cockapoo, but we've all decided she's more likely a Maltipoo. Either way, she's super cute & has been the best addition to our little office family. She spends her day playing & napping in our team lounge so you won't see her, but you may hear her squeaking her toys if you're very near our breakroom door. She looks disheveled most of the time, but pulls off the look really well. She jumps like a goat & terrorizes her human brother, Otis & fur sister, Annie by constantly picking a fight.
