$14/unit. Recall for neuromodulators is ideally ~>90 days. Be sure to schedule your next appointment before you leave to ensure you don't get off schedule!
PRE- OP Instructions
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages 24 hours before (or after) your treatment to avoid extra bruising
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising
- Arrive with a clean face. Please do not wear makeup!
- Do not use neurotoxins if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any of it's ingredients or suffer from any neurological disorders.
POST- OP Instructions
- Do not consume alcoholic beverages 24 hours before or after your treatment to avoid extra bruising
- You may take Acetaminophen/Tylenol if you experience any mild tenderness/discomfort. Do not take Ibuprofen/NSAIDS as this may increase a risk for extra bruising
- After treatment there will be swelling and redness with the possibility of bruising. Please ask our team for product suggestions to help decrease or conceal bruising or to expedite the healing of any bruising.
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid extended UV exposure until any redness/swelling has subsided. Apply SPF always.
- Avoid strenuous exercise or high heats (i.e. saunas, hot tubs, etc) for 24 hours post injection to reduce bruising. You may resume other normal activities/routines immediately
- Do not lay down for 4 hours after treatment
- Avoid touching your face or applying pressures to treatment areas especially for the 4 hours immediately after treatment.
- Change your pillowcases the day of your injections.
- Avoid applying makeup or speaking on your cell phone the day of injections to keep your sites clean and free of pressures. Try speakerphone.
Treatment Timelines
- ~Day 3: You'll begin to feel the effects of treatment
- ~Day 5-7: You'll begin to see partial effects of treatment.
- ~Day 14: Treatment is around full effect now.
- Day 14-21: This is the ideal timeframe for treatment assessment. More can be added in this window to ensure optimal results & duration. Our office WILL NOT assess or add dosages before 14 days post-treatment or AFTER 21 days post treatment to ensure your best results. **Please recall dose=duration & so if you aren't experiencing proper duration (~90 days), then dosage of treatment will need to be increased NOT the treatment frequency.
- Week 6-8: Treatment typically looks & feels it's best making this an important point to remember when planning treatment around an event or special occasion.
- Week 8-12: Movement of the treated muscles will begin to return gradually. **It is normal to have some returning movement during this time of all muscles, but it is important to know that the muscles of the forehead that elevates the eyebrows & nearly any treatment around the mouth will wear off quicker than other treated areas.
- Day 90-120: Time for re-treatment. **Treating more frequently than 90 days increases your likelihood of treatment resistance, and so it is the policy of our office that (other than any added dosages at the 14-21 day assessment window) patients are not treated sooner than 90 days post treatment for maintenance.
- After 4-6 months, all muscles are back to baseline if you missed your maintenance re-treatment, and therefore any progress on static lines we were hoping to soften, will be lost.
What to expect after treatment
- A 2 week follow up is important and is scheduled before dismissal
- Multiple sessions may be needed for static lines to be completely softened
