$600 per vial w/ the average double-chin patient requiring 3-4 vials in 1-2 sessions. Best results are 3-6 months following the final session since the skin continues to rebound for up to 6 months post treatment.
PRE- OP Instructions
- If you have a special event or vacation coming up, please keep in mind that you may want to schedule your treatment at least two weeks in advance. Swelling WILL be present
- Unlike with fillers, results are NOT immediate. Please plan at least 6 months before a special event such as a wedding as it takes this long for fat cells to completely dissolve and for skin to rebound.
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Antihistamines, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising
- Arrive with a clean face. Please do not wear makeup!
- Kybella is not for patients with current or past history of dysphagia “trouble swallowing”, currently pregnant or breastfeeding, with presence of infection at or near the injection sites, or under the age of 18
POST- OP Instructions
- Swollen to the world for 4 days, swollen to yourself for two weeks
- Topical numbness in the area for up to 8 weeks is normal
- Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Antihistamines, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising
- Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples- retinol, tretinoin/retin-a, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone)
- Avoid alcoholic beverages at least 48 hours before your treatment
- Avoid massaging or manipulating the swelling area
- Sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first 72 hours
- Avoid any strenuous activity for 72 hours
What to expect after treatment
- 4 week post op is always recommended and scheduled before dismissal
- Follow up treatments (if needed) should be scheduled between 4-6 weeks as this is ideal time for any touch up
- Visible results will be seen around 3 months, with 6 months being maximum result
- Topical numbness in the area for up to 8 weeks is normal
