PMU Brows

Dr. Hughes is trained in a variety of brow techniques including microblading and machining.  This is a huge benefit to her patients as not every case is suited for one or the other and some cases require a combination of both for the best esthetic result.  Dr. Hughes is very skilled at brow design and can perfect the brow that will most suit your face for a natural look (but better) that you’ll no longer have to spend time on in the mornings or worry about sweating off in the sun or rubbing off in the pool, ocean or lake.  Get ready for good brows ALL the time!

PMU brows are especially beneficial to those ladies that may have been born with sparse hairs at their brow or may have become thin due to alopecia, menopause, or thyroid conditions.  Ladies with disappearing brows thanks to graying have much to gain from a good PMU brow too, and words can’t describe how it can improve the esthetics and ease the morning routine for the blondies and other fair-haired gals (see also PMU Eyeliners in these cases)!  Just ask Dr. Hughes herself how they’ve boosted her own confidence.

$500 (includes one touch-up appointment)

This is whether it is a microbladed or machining session or a combination of the two techniques.  If Dr. Hughes thinks it will take more than a single appointment and a touch-up to achieve the look you and she agree on, the price is subject to increase.

Dr. Hughes includes one touch-up appointment free of charge.  The touch-up must be completed within 8 weeks of the initial service (around week 6 is best) or else there will be an additional fee for the touchup appointment.

Any uneven healing or perfecting of the brows can be accomplished in the included follow-up session.  Any further touch-ups requested by the patient after the included touch-up session will be at an additional cost to the patient.

How long does it last?

You should have realistic expectations as to the maintenance of your PMU brows–they will fade and the shade will change as your body breaks down the ink, therefore to think that his is a one and done type of procedure is not realistic.  To keep them looking their best, you will need to have them redone.  How often is dependent on the technique you and Dr. Hughes decide on.

Machining lasts longer than microblading.  The best microblading will likely need to be redone every 1-3 years to maintain shading and the crispness of the hair strokes. Machining will need to be redone every 3-5 years.  No matter the technique employed, much of the result depends on your own healing process, how your body metabolizes the pigment, and sometimes most importantly, your after-care.

When the procedure is redone, it is subject to the same fees as a new procedure as it is the same workload at this point as a new procedure.

Before & After

Browse through our Instagram feed and make sure you’re tuning in to our Insta storylines to look through our casework.  Dr. Hughes often explains the procedures in-depth on our story and loves to answer questions through our Instagram direct messaging.  You can catch our before & afters on Facebook too, but you’ll miss most of our information if you’re missing those Instagram stories.

How to Schedule

Dr. Hughes does not do initial PMU cases during our regular patient hours as she wants to concentrate on only you with these procedures.  Because of this, we have a limited schedule for PMU procedures and it fills quickly.  Knowing there is a waiting list for some days, we require a $100 deposit when scheduling these appointments to prevent our schedule from filling with those patients who aren’t sure of the procedure yet and may no-show after having taken an appointment that another patient would have gladly filled.  Your deposit will be applied toward your PMU procedure when the procedure is complete.

Call our office at 270-866-4101 during business hours or click the “request appointment” button to the right of your screen to schedule your appointment.
